Looking Back
For the 50th aniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, the New York Times Past Tense desk wanted to create a visual narrative of what it must have felt like to experience that in New York City, 1969. I wanted to imbue this interactive with the awe and scale of that event, along with classic New York aesthetics.
