Rethinking what The New York Times’ yearly illustration roundup can be, considering that for 2019, we’re looking at the end of a year, but also the end of a decade. I helped direct the narrative of this page to make it more of resource, from adding links to illustrators’ Instragram pages, to including quotes from art directors.
I also coded this page such that the entire page is an HTML canvas, so readers can draw around or on the best illustrations of year, adding their own input, and hopefully adding a quick splash of artistic creativity to their day.
